I chose this myth to base my alias on because several years ago, I had started my classical music lessons, and one of the very first songs I sang was called 'Die Lorelei' (translated into 'The Loreley'). We looked up the legend, and from then on a few members of my family (my mom, initially) started calling me The Lorelei as a cute little nickname, and it developed from there. The next day I had adopted the nickname on a Sailor Moon community and the rest is history. Music has been a major factor in my life from then on to this day, and so has my nickname. So it was a natural step for when I started in the dolling community a few years ago to take the same alias.
I think it was also a sign that my real name, Meredith, in welsh means 'Guardian from the Sea', so the coincidence with that and the Lorelei myth and song, the rest was history. Mwhar=3
